Michiel is a Dutch designer based in Rotterdam.

He has been active in the global hardcore punk scene, designing t-shirts & covers for international bands and labels. His work has shifted to skateboard and snowboard design, as well as the editorial illustration.

Influenced by late 80’s skateboard artwork, comics, graphic novels and gig poster design, his style is easily recognizable due to the bold lines and popping colors.

He worked for clients like Nike, Asics, Schorem and Ray-Ban.

Design by Dutch illustrator Michiel Walrave.

Story behind this design:
A deep personal fascination of Michiel for all horror related things, like movies, comics or pulp novels, resulted in this design inspired by famous horror movies.

Michiel opted to go for his preferred style of black outlines and comic like colors with a slight twist of skateboard graphics thrown in.

Black 100% organic T-shirt with short sleeves, regular slim fit. Available in crew neck.

Limited edition of 360 pieces, available in this color.

Unique number label on the left bottom.The number will be in the range of 001/360 to 360/360.

On the right arm the LIGER patch; on the back the embroidered ‘five star’.

  • 100% organic combed cotton with carbon finish to make it extra soft. Fabric is already washed.
  • You don’t feel the print, the print is ‘inside’ the fabric.
  • Wash and iron inside out and with similar colors on max 30°
