Lennaert is a Dutch portrait painter based in Rotterdam.

His work primarily reflects his love for painting itself and his fascination for the human face. He started his career working as an illustrator. After that, he became active as a muralist and street art painter. Many of those murals were huge portraits. He now paints mainly on canvas.

Lennaert is Resident Artist for Winsor & Newton and active member of The Fine Art Collective. He was one of the founders of Monkidoe, a street art collective in Rotterdam.

He worked for clients like: Vpro Gids, Eneco, Rotown, Central Post and Gemeente Rotterdam.

Description

The ensō symbolizes the universe, enlightened awareness and elegance.

Drawing an ensō is a creative expression descending from the Japanese Zen monks.

Inspired by this tradition, Lennaert Koorman plays with creating ensō paintings a lot. In his case making them multi-colored.

The ensō is painted in one fluid, expressive stroke. Once the ensō is drawn, never change it.

It reflects the character of its creator and the context of its creation in the present moment.

White 100% organic cotton T-shirt with short sleeves, regular slim fit. Available in crew neck.

Unique number label on the left bottom.The number will be in the range of 001/360 to 360/360.

On the right arm the LIGER patch; on the back the embroidered ‘five star’.
