For the 17th Wave about Earth, Robert based his design on the Great Barrier Reef; the world’s largest coral reef on our planet and the world’s biggest single structure made by living organisms which can be seen from outer space. 70% of Earth is covered by Water | GBR is 1% of earth
Opposite to the vivid colours in this design, global warming is a great threat for GBR and has produced horrific coral bleaching.
Robert’s way of painting is characterized by a coarse touch.
