NAME: Claudia Hek Claudia is a self-taught Dutch artist based on the island Terschelling. Influenced by Americana and symbolism from the rock ‘n roll and tattoo world, Claudia’s work has gone from strength to strength. From the thick line drawn pin-ups that she has become famous for, her work has matured to layered paintings and objects that tell a story about finding strength in vulnerability; from totemistic crucifixes, to portraits of American icons like Johnny Cash and strong but broken hearted women with mystical powers. Claudia worked for clients like Golden Earring, Douwe Bob to name a few.
